How can this be true?

Kinda simple.. 
The red piece is 8 squares in length. Green square is 5 in length. Switch the two triangular pieces…To compensate, the yellow piece is slide down to fill the missing 3 spaces at the bottom level. The top piece now compensates for the missing orange level. 
This puzzle just initially looks confusing because people expect displaced spaces to be re-occupied. 
It’s kinda like life. Things happen and you’re like WTF until you realize how simple it is. It’s just an empty square, no magic.
