I was thinking about houses cause I had this conversation with my friend about future houses and projected number of years before getting a house etc, etc, and I started wondering what kinda house I wanted. I came upon some pretty nifty house designs that I enjoyed a lot. Some I’ll admit are seemingly impractical and not to mention i’d go crazy trying to keep it clean. Cause lets admit, no one really likes furniture outside cause it inevitably gets dirty! No shelter will really keep it clean unless you have a screen and glass windows to protect it. Yet, it is fun to think about and I’ll think of preventative measures later.
But the one thing I realize I liked most about these houses was that I didn’t even really care for the interior. I just loved how it gave off a certain feeling of being connected to nature in a way. It’s not like it’s masterfully complex or monstrously large; It’s because it makes me feel a certain way that it clicks. I’ll admit, I’m a real nature buff. I like the outdoors and in a way this gives me just enough outdoors to not smell like firewood for a month and yet if I were to come home from work it wouldn’t require me to drive 2 hours to a reclusive cabin. My favorite picture most definitely has to be the one at the very very bottom. The high vaulted ceilings and lighting along with the wood coloring just connects real well. It makes me feel like I’m in a cabin-boat-jungle all at once.
I use to like drawing a lot… til I was about 11 years old when my sister told me that my drawings looked like a retarded blind baby with a broken cripple hand drew them. Then I realized that my only real skill was drawing straight lines and semi-circles. Hahaha i love my sister she gives the blunt truth better than I could ever give it.
